While the automotive industry premieres its technological electric-powered new models, the hard truth behind it is that Congolese miners pile into criminal, life-risking cobalt mines to sustain the manufacture of the vehicles' batteries. This project leans on irony, showing off a luxury fictitious car company to tell this hidden story and denounce illegal mining in Congo. The installation, comprised of an interlinked two-screen interface, emulates the buying experience of acquiring a new electric car. During the checkout process, the soul of a miner breaks into the company's system and has the opportunity to tell their story via a final email.
